Setup, one step at a time

  1. Unzip

    Unzip the download. You'll see workflows/ (one .json per automation), Sheet-Templates.xlsx and README.md.

    Ava's tip: You've got this! Take it slow, there's no rush.

  2. Google Sheets

    Upload Sheet-Templates.xlsx to Google Drive and choose File > Save as Google Sheets. Copy the long ID from its URL (between /d/ and /edit).

    Ava's tip: Nice! One step down. Little steps add up fast.

  3. n8n

    In n8n (self-hosted Community Edition or n8n Cloud) open Workflows > Add workflow > the ... menu > Import from File and pick one .json. Start with 01 blog-to-social.

    Ava's tip: Look at you go! If anything looks odd, the troubleshooting list below has your back.

  4. Config node

    Open the node named Config and replace every placeholder: sheet ID, brand name, voice, model name, URLs.

    Ava's tip: Halfway-ish and doing great. Keep going!

  5. Credentials

    Nodes with a red warning need credentials. AI node: create a Header Auth credential, Name Authorization, Value Bearer YOUR_API_KEY (any OpenAI-compatible provider). Google Sheets, Gmail, WordPress (optional): create the standard n8n credential.

    Ava's tip: Ooh, you're really getting the hang of this.

  6. Test

    Click Test workflow. Check the output: drafts land in your sheet or as Gmail/WordPress drafts. Nothing posts by itself.

    Ava's tip: Almost there! I can see the finish line.

  7. Activate

    When the test output looks right, toggle Active. Repeat for the other workflows: 02 SEO article drafts, 03 video-to-blog kit, 04 weekly newsletter draft, 05 content calendar.

    Ava's tip: Woohoo, last step! You did it. Give yourself a cheer!

Troubleshooting

Node shows 'Install this node' or a version warning

Update n8n to a recent 1.x/2.x release. The files were checked against n8n-nodes-base 2.15.1.

Google Sheets node can't find columns

Open the node, pick your sheet and tab again from the dropdowns, and map columns once.

AI node returns 401

The Header Auth value must be exactly 'Bearer ' followed by your key, and ai_base_url in Config must match your provider.
